“Behold the Lamb of God!” (John 1:29, 36) John the Baptist identified Jesus Christ as the substitutionary sacrifice provided by God to take away the sins of the world. John tells us his purpose for writing his Gospel in John 20:31: “These (signs) are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
In our study of the Gospel of John, we are going to ask and answer three significant questions:
1) Who is Jesus Christ?
2) Why did He come to planet earth?
3) What should be our response to who He is and what He did on our behalf?
May the Lord bless you and transform your life as you contemplate the Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ!
